DSNWK's Home Base Early Intervention Services (Kid-Link) for children birth - 3 years of age is looking for Infant/Toddler Professionals! We've recently expanded our services and will be hiring a Speech Language Pathologist.
Pay Range: $33.00/hour - $36.30/hour contingent on credentials &/or experience.
Kid-Link has been proudly serving families in Norton, Phillips, Rooks, Smith, Osborne, and Russell counties since 1976. Now we are excited to include Ellis and Rush counties in our service area!
Infant-toddler early intervention services are available to infants and toddlers to enhance development and minimize potential for developmental delays and recognize the significant brain development that occurs during the child's first three years. Services provided are unique and specific to each child's needs and occur in their homes. Intervention services include screenings, home visits, occupational, physical, speech or behavioral therapy and other intervention services - all performed by members of the Kid-Link team in conjunction with the child's Primary Care Provider.

Assist in the planning, organizing and implementation of the early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities within the counties served by Kid-Link.
Kid-Link Early Intervention is an evidence based coaching model that provides therapy services in the child's natural setting. The therapist will assist, evaluate and provide assistance in the development of the Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP) in meeting goals that are driven by the family outcomes desired Work with the Kid-Link.
Assist in the planning, organizing and the implementation of the early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities within the counties served by Kid-Link. Assess, evaluate and provide assistance in the development and implementation of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) in meeting goals that are driven by the family outcomes desired. Provide services to the child/family utilizing the Primary Service Provider model to build capacity of the parents/caregivers to support the child. The treatment of the children and their families with dignity and respect is a prime responsibility.
Essential Functions
Follow the procedures developed by DSNWK, the Kansas State Board of Education, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and follow the Part C Procedure Manual for Infant Toddler Services in Kansas.
Serve as Primary Service Provider (PSP) to appropriate assigned caseload. Consult with team members in strategies and coaching to assist identified outcomes.
Work jointly with the Director and Kid-Link department staff to develop and implement policies pertaining to the Kid-Link early intervention program in accordance with Part C services in Kansas.
Report to the Director of Service Coordination on the progress and emerging service delivery changes/problems within the Kid-Link program and/or other agencies associated with Kid-Link.
Participate in DSNWK long range planning process and the Kid-Link Network Continuous Improvement Plan by creating and completing goals and objectives and reporting outcomes to the Director.
Assist in the development and implementation of the IFSP through evaluations, observations, teaching, modeling and monitoring the progress. The services may be directly related to Speech Language and/or other areas of normal development.
Act a the contact person for parents and other service providers concerning the Kid-Link program.
Complete appropriate screenings, and assessments for determining eligibility for infants and toddlers in the counties served and other appropriate screen as assigned.
Assist with the transition process for children entering/exiting the Kid-Link program to facilitate a smooth and timely transition.
Remain current in knowledge, research, treatment and legislative actions/concerns in the field of early intervention and communication disorders.
Complete required reports according to agency and State policies, licensure and accreditation standards in a timely manner.
Assist with Kid-Link public awareness and fundraising activities.
Obtain training necessary to maintain Kansas Speech Language license through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and DSNWK employment.
Participate and/or attend agency, community and State meetings and activities, as directed by supervisor.
Ensure the human rights of the Kid-Link children are maintained.
Report health, safety and ANE issues to appropriate personnel per agency policies.
Education - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communications Disorders and Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Experience - Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferred. Supervisory experience not required.
Other Requirements
Valid driver's license.
Interest in working with children with developmental disabilities or delays in development.
Able to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
Must have ability to communicate, reason, problem solve, develop and document appropriate services needed and provided.
Able to work efficiently with a team of professionals, parents, and other providers on common goals.
Ability to work independently on a routine basis from home office, when appropriate.
Must be able to develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
